United States Marine Corps
Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF)
Naval Support Facility, Indian Head, Maryland, 6-7 February 2018
Human Domain Solutions (HDS), LLC is seeking specialty Casualty Role Players (CRP) to participate in an Emergency Response exercise by the Marine Corps Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF) from 6-7 February 2018 at the Naval Support Facility at Indian Head, MD (20 miles south of the DC beltway). The exercise training will simulate an emergency response to a manmade or natural disaster including a structural collapse and nuclear, biological or chemical incident. The CRPs will go through triage, decontamination, and medical treatment at least 3 times during each day of the exercise. CRPs will be provided cut-away prop clothing.
In particular, for this exercise we are seeking individuals with visible handicaps and disabilities, including restricted mobility (wheel chair), amputees, or sight or hearing impaired, as well as individuals with American Sign Language (ASL) skills and lesser known foreign languages to present communications barriers for the responders. We can also use a limited number of CRPs who can simulate hearing or sight impairment.
This is an excellent opportunity to give back, and show appreciation, for these brave men and women of the Marine Corps. Individuals who have participated in past disaster response exercises have found it very rewarding: you support this important national and community service and you get paid to have FUN while doing so!
ELIGIBILITY: There is no security clearance requirement, so it is open to all individuals 18 years and above, but criminal background and U.S. employment eligibility checks will be conducted. Priority will be given to those with previous role playing, acting, military/wounded warrior, or EMT/first responder/disaster response experience. We are also looking for diversity among our CRPs, including gender, ethnicity, age, body types, disabilities, wounded warriors, and foreign language abilities. Due to the potentially stressful medical/ decontamination processes and possible high fall temperatures, Role Players may not have a life-threatening or serious medical condition. By signing up for this support, Role Players agree to the possibility of random drug testing.
PAY for the exercise is $140 for each day or $300 for both. The exercise hours each day are approximately 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with arrival at 7:00 AM. Meal, snacks, and water/soft drinks will also be provided.
